In May 2024, Dr. Chris Wong, a dedicated and forward-thinking dentist, partnered with Prism to transform a well-established dental practice in Palo Alto, CA. Previously owned by Dr. Kris Hamamoto, the practice had over 30 years of operation with a strong community presence and loyal patient base. Dr. Wong, who was already familiar with the practice’s culture and customer base, aimed to modernize the business and align it with contemporary digital and operational standards.
The Acquisition
Dr. Chris Wong's journey into owning his dental practice began with his close involvement with Dr. Kris Hamamoto’s practice. As an associate dentist, Dr. Wong gained intimate knowledge of the practice’s operations, patient base, and the high standards set by Dr. Hamamoto. When Dr. Hamamoto decided to retire, she saw Dr. Wong as the perfect successor to continue her legacy of quality dental care. This transition provided Dr. Wong with an established platform but also presented the challenge of updating and modernizing the practice to meet current patient expectations and technological standards.
